Dr. Elizabeth K. Wood is a developmental psychobiologist interested in examining how maternal health factors during and before pregnancy exert programming effects on infant developmental outcomes, including those related to future mental health concerns and cardiometabolic risks. Dr. Wood has expertise in developmental programming, measuring pregnancy and perinatal health, examining the caregiver-infant attachment relationship, assessing behavioral health, and biostatistics. Her current work examines the role of placental inflammation in the maternal-health-to-offspring-health pathway.
