Abstract

Transport, material, and structural properties were measured for healthy cancellous bone when considered as biologic, porous medium. Anisotropic permeability, stiffness, and elastic moduli were experimentally quantified along orthogonal axes (x, y, & z). Tabulated results demonstrate the anisotropic nature of the tissue.
