Arteriography

Abstract

Arteriography is an indispensable tool of the vascular surgeon. Despite the proliferation and advancement of endovascular procedures, exposure to basic principles and techniques of arteriography is somewhat variable during vascular surgical training. This chapter describes the various options available to the vascular surgeon with regards to equipment, venue and image acquisition techniques. Recent advances in equipment are highlighted as are potential pitfalls and complications associated with various arteriography agents and techniques.
