Abstract

This chapter specifically focuses on co-occurring mental health conditions associated with opioid use disorders. Psychiatric syndromes discussed include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and psychotic disorders. This text is designed to provide concise information pertaining to the epidemiology and treatment of opioid use disorders and comorbid mental illnesses.
