Abstract

Pregnant women can face several unique bleeding and thrombotic issues that require a different approach, taking both fetal considerations and the physiological changes of pregnancy. This chapter discusses the evaluation of thrombocytopenia and bleeding disorders in pregnant women. “Thrombosis as more common in pregnancy and with estrogen plus management of these thrombotic issues are discussed.
