Abstract
In order to maximize the quantitative and qualitative information obtainable from biopsied samples, a device was designed for minimally invasive harvest. The resulting device will be used for 3-dimensional elasticity analysis using a small specimen ultrasonic technique. The final device may have clinical applications during the evaluation of elastic properties as measures of healing or degeneration and the subsequent correlation with imaging assessment.
