Abstract

The National Registry of Drug Induced Ocular Side Effects contains spontaneous reports of suspected drug related ocular side effects from the data base of the World Health Organization, United States Food and Drug Administration, data from other drug registries in the world, and case reports from members of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. It also contains the world literature on drugs which may have an adverse effect on the human visual system. Some of the more current drugs followed by the Registry are reviewed here. As a service of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, if you would like the most recent data on a possible adverse visual event from a drug, you may contact the National Registry of Drug Induced Ocular Side Effects.
