Abstract
A new Geiger-mode single-photon detector, consisting of two p-n junctions, is presented. Owing the junctions' placement and depth, the device achieves high fill-factors with an extended spectral response. The device makes it possible, for the first time, to integrate dual-colour single-photon counting in a single pixel, as desirable in cross-correlation fluorescence experiments.
