Abstract
Proteomics is the global (genome-wide) study of protein expression in a given living cell, tissue or organism. Multidimensional Protein Identification Technology (MudPIT), gel electrophoresis (GE) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) are the widely employed approaches to survey protein levels in complex biological samples. This article describes an easily implemented, effective, and highly reproducible dual-column HPLC prefractionation method that helps in improving routine proteomic analyses.
