This paper describes the approach and strategies we have been applying during the process of integrating and modularizing the eaglei and VIVO ontologies into the Integrated Semantic Framework. As this effort is yet on going, we will subsequently provide an evaluation report when the merger and modularization are complete. We welcome insight and comments from the ontology community about our progress and approach thus far.
