Abstract

Male genitourinary malignancies span a wide range from very common malignancies, such as prostate cancer, to more rare conditions, such as testicular and penile cancers. The role of radiation therapy and its integration into multidisciplinary state-of-the-art care of patients with these conditions continues to evolve. This section aims to reinforce the indications of radiation therapy and rationale of these indications backed by clinical research findings. This section has been updated to include discussion of a landmark trial ProtecT, advanced imaging modalities, and role of ablative radiotherapy in the management of oligometastatic prostate cancer.
