Abstract
The ability to perform nail surgery broadens a physician's diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in managing disorders or dysfunction of the nail apparatus. Nail anatomy and function are reviewed. Principles and general techniques of nail surgery are presented as a background for the discussion of several commonly employed surgical procedures. 1982 American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc.
