Abstract

We extend Partial Response (PR) precoding [1] to two-dimensions and consider it, as well as parallel one-dimensional (1D) PR, for use in parallel readout optical memory systems. We also develop expressions for optically implementable two-dimensional (2D) zero-forcing equalizers to be used in conjunction with these forms of PR precoding.
