Abstract

The Schultze endomyocardial bioptome was used to retrieve an embolized portion of plastic catheter from the right ventricle of a 5-month-old child. The retrieval was accomplished using fluoroscopy and took no more than two minutes after placement of the bioptome in the right internal jugular vein.
