Abstract

The Structured Query Language (SQL) is the de facto standard for commercial database management systems. Optoelectronic database accelerator architectures must be able to support the complex arithmetic functionality of SQL to be accepted in the marketplace. We propose an optoelectronic architecture which directly supports SQL by combining an optically loaded RAM with conventional electronic circuitry.
