Abstract

The structure and regulation of calcium\calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaM-K) were discussed. The CaM-K were activated and inhibited through phosphorylation by other protein kinases. The results showed that the cross-talk with other signalling pathways allowed the integration of Ca2+ signals with other signalling pathways to modulate the physiological output of the cell.
