Abstract
Tissue-resident memory (TRM) T cells provide a first line of host defense against pathogen invasion at environmental barrier tissues. Here, Hobbs and Nolz describe a mechanism to rapidly expand the number of antigen-specific TRM CD8+ T cells in the skin, using topical application of antigenic peptide to boost localized protective immunity.
