Abstract
Cerebellum slices from rat brain were incubated in a medium containing (35S) sulphate. The incorporation of (35S) into sulphatide was measured. The tissue slices were dhown to incorporate (:5S) even after 44hr of incubation. The maximal incorporation was observed when cerebellum from 12 to 15 day old rats was used. An equimolar inhibitory effect on the (35S) uptake into sulphatide was induced by 25 μM methylmercury chloride and by 2.5 μM triethyllead chloride.
