Objective. Cervical cancer is the second most common malignancy in women worldwide and the third most common cause of cancer mortality in the United States. The aim of this article is to describe cervical cancer and outline the value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in the management of cervical malignancy. Conclusion. The value of PET/CT has been found in staging and treatment strategy for cervical cancer. FDG PET/CT facilitates decision-making and radiation treatment planning and provides important information about treatment response, disease recurrence, and long-term survival.
