Abstract
As in other parts of the body the ocular tissues are dependent on the vascular system for nutrients and many diseases of the vascular system affect the eye and adnexa. This chapter summarizes the structure of the normal blood vessels. It also reviews general aspects of vascular disease in the eye and specific vascular disorders and their ocular effects.
