Abstract

The detection of a manifest or latent eye misalignment requires a thorough knowledge of and facility with the techniques used to evaluate different categories of patients. Specifically, there are age-appropriate methods of determining the type and extent of strabismus. In cooperative patients, more advanced evaluation approaches may be used to help decode the causes of complex strabismus and develop a plan for treatment.
