Abstract
The term acute coronary syndrome (ACS) encompasses a wide array of diagnoses from unstable angina to ST segment elevation myocardial infarction. Apart from its diversity, an ACS is a diagnosis that can be challenging to make because many other disease processes present with chest pain and confirmatory serology may take many hours to become positive.
