Abstract

Design of effective management control systems (MCSs) of cooperative virtual supply chains is understudied. We explore the impact of differing MCSs in a virtual enterprise in 19,200 experimental runs. Results show that the "best" framework does not always perform better and, in certain circumstances, can be the least attractive option.
