Abstract

For further advancements to be made in the assessment and treatment of osteoporosis and other bone-related diseases, methods must be developed to quantify the material, structural, and transport properties of cancellous bone. In this study, the permeability, stiffness, and elastic moduli of bovine femora are measured and the relationships among these parameters are defined.
