Distichiasis and trichiasis: Origin and management

Trichiasis is generally considered to be an acquired condition in which distortion and misdirection of the true cilia occur. It is our belief that the changes described in distichiasis may be either acquired or congenital. The operating microscope is advocated as an invaluable aid in electrolysis.
