Gait Ignition Failure

Abstract

Gait ignition failure is one of the many synonyms for freezing of gait - generally brief (seconds) episodes of difficulty in initiating walking or maintaining stepping through turns, narrow passages, and distractions in the immediate environment. It is a neurological sign and not a syndrome.
