Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of integrating the four major databases in manufacturing: design, manufacturering, production management and economics. A comprehensive summary of the differences among these data bases is presented. A methodology for developing an interfacing agent to dynamically couple these sets of data is then discussed. Finally, findings of a prototype system are reviewed.
