N2 - This paper presents the results of a duration study performed for Dutch using the sums-of-products approach [5]. With a relatively small corpus of 297 sentences, a duration model couldbe constructed withanRMSE of27ms, which compares well to similar models for English, French and German. In an evaluation study the predicted durations of the duration model were compared to those predicted by a rule-based duration model.
