Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for the treatment of epilepsy. We will assess the following hypotheses in patients with epilepsy: TMS reduces the frequency of seizures. TMS reduces the epileptiform discharges on electroencephalography. Treatment with TMS is associated with certain adverse effects.
