Abstract

The source and characteristics of orbital tumor metastasis in 46 children are discussed. Metastasis to the orbit occurred in about one-third of patients with neuroblastoma and Ewing's sarcoma. No instance of orbital metastasis from other types of solid tumor was found. An absence of intraocular metastases in infants and children was noted both in the present study and in a review of the literature.
